Peddling for a Purpose – The Atlantic Crossing Charity Ride
At Home Hunts, we’re always inspired by people who push themselves to achieve something extraordinary, especially when it’s for a great cause. That’s why we’re so proud of our very own John Holding, from our team on the French Riviera, who will be taking part in the upcoming Atlantic Crossing charity ride next month. The Challenge Ahead
The Atlantic Crossing is no small feat. At the beginning of October, over six days, a team of 18 riders will pedal their way from Biarritz on the West Coast, to Antibes in the South East corner of France, covering more than 900kms across mountains, valleys, and stunning stretches of the French countryside.
The aim? To raise funds and awareness for Cancer My Arse, an initiative dedicated to supporting cancer research and patient care in the UK and locally here in France. It’s a journey that’s as inspiring as it is challenging, and we couldn’t be more proud to be supporting John every step (or pedal!) of the way.
Meet John Holding
Originally from the North West of England, John has called the South of France home for over 20 years. He lives on the Riviera with his wife and two children and is well known as the go-to property expert at Home Hunts for the inland towns and villages of the region, including Mougins, Valbonne, Grasse and Saint Paul de Vence.
As well as helping clients find their dream homes, John is also a passionate cyclist — and has been for many years. In fact, there’s probably not a road in the South of France that he hasn’t explored, whether on two wheels or while showing clients the area by car.
His love of cycling and his determination to support this incredible cause make him the perfect rider to take on the Atlantic Crossing challenge.
